Vanessa Mathieu
Period 2
5/26/10

So far, the play includes alot of themes and symbols. One character in particular represents an important role throughout the play. This character is Nora. She represents the role of women and how women were looked down upon during that time. Now, this just comes to show you how much things/society has changed. Women can pretty much do anything that men can nowadays. Her husband treats her unfairly. He seems to treat her with less respect than she deserves. Nora can well be realted to Ruth from A Raisin in the Sun. Walter treated Ruth, the same way Nora's husband treats her. In both plays, the women have no say in anything
In the play, Nora has an inner conflict with herself. If she had not forged her father's signature, she wouldn't be going though that mind struggle. Now she is paranoid and worried that she will get caught. Hopefully she doesn't get caught. If she does, she'll lose everything she has and everything she worked for. We'll have to keep on reading to find out.
